Years ago, I read that the greatest pollution the average person experiences on a daily basis was at home.  That was an eye opener.

With the dawn of energy efficiency and being mindful of harmful chemicals in the home we as an industry began to develop a strong focus on using materials that reduced free radicals and air born pollutants.  Manufacturers of Carpet, paint and finishes as well as framing and insulating materials became more and more alert to how their products affected people’s health.

Then came COVID which brought us to a whole new level of awareness concerning wellness and the significance of home life.   We have not waned on that focus.  Our homes should be designed in such a way so as to foster emotional well-being and a feeling of safety.  But we are taking it a step further, past water filtration and an exercise bike in the corner of the bedroom.

Homeowners are looking for well-being at home; mentally, emotionally, and physically.

At Lund Builders we have helped families incorporate lap-pools, air tubs, whole house filtration systems, April Aire systems and high tech furnace air exchangers for many years.

However, the move to have even more places in the home where we can get exercise and therapy is rising.

  • Red light therapy lighting
  • Flex rooms that incorporate AI driven exercise equipment along with a fruit juice bar
  • Sauna’s
  • Sport courts and gymnasium areas

Of course, the healthiest part of home life is the peace and well being that comes from a home that is not only free of chemicals but one that relieves stress instead of adding to it.  Home is a hinge to well-being and we at Lund Builders take that role very seriously.
